2005 NATIONAL FAMILY VOLUNTEER AWARD NOMINATION DEADLINE APPROACHING
National Award Presented by the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network
Washington, D.C. (May 18, 2005) -- The deadline for the 2005 National Family Volunteer Award is May 27, 2005. Nomination forms are available at http://www.pointsoflight.org/awards/nfva/nominate.cfm.
Presented by the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network, the Award was established to recognize families, businesses, faith-based and nonprofit organizations for outstanding family volunteer activities performed during the previous year. These activities can include, but are not limited to, those performed during National Family Volunteer Day.
The award will be presented to one family and one organization at the 2005 National Conference on Volunteering and National Service, August 4-6, in Washington, DC.
The National Conference, convened by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network, is a premier training and networking event that annually attracts 3,000 leaders from the nonprofit, business, government and national service, and education fields.
