Mississippi and Washington First to Adopt State Initiative

By Katherine Watier

These two new state initiatives are in addition to the nearly 51 Volunteer Centers and more than 12,608 organizations using the service to recruit the more than 53,084 registered volunteers. 1-800-Volunteer.org is experiencing considerable growth, with nearly 50 additional Volunteer Centers currently working to train their organizations and populate their database for their public unveiling.
