Robert K. Goodwin Receives National Nonprofit Partner of the Year Award
Robert K. Goodwin, president and CEO, the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network, received the Mutual of America Nonprofit Partner of the Year award at the American Humanics Management Institute on January 5, 2007. Mr. Goodwin received the award for his consistent and valued contributions towards supporting the American Humanics’ mission and bridging that with the missions of other organizations, like the Points of Light Foundation.
He has also provided the leadership for the strategic alliance of the National Human Services Assembly with American Humanics, so both organizations can better serve their constituencies by collaboration. Mr. Goodwin has captured the energy of volunteering and worked actively to inspire the newest generation of nonprofit leaders to serve their communities.
The National Nonprofit Partner of the Year Award is sponsored by Mutual of America, and is presented each year to the individual or organization that has made significant contributions going above and beyond the call of duty to support the American Humanics mission.
American Humanics is a national alliance of colleges, universities and nonprofit organizations that prepares and certifies college students for professional careers in youth and human service agencies. American Humanics is affiliated with more than 70 colleges and universities nationwide including the University of Houston. It also partners with more than 50 national nonprofit organizations including the YMCA, the March of Dimes and the Boy Scouts of America.
