As data analyst, Kristina supports the daily business operations of MissionFish, by reporting, maintaining and improving a range of data sources from Salesforce, Great Plains and Access.

Kristan has a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. She is currently working on a Masters of Forensic Science: High-Tech Crime from George Washington University. Previously, Kristina spent the last four years in Boston working as a Business Analyst for Filene’s.

Born and raised in Erie, Pa., Kristina currently lives in Alexandria, Va. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing softball and volleyball.

   

Opal Hawkins
Accounting Director

As accounting director, Opal is responsible for managing the finance and accounting processes for MissionFish. Opal earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. She is currently pursuing her MBA there, as well.

Prior to coming to the Foundation, Opal worked as a senior Great Plains consultant with an accounting software company. She has more than 13 years of accounting and finance experience in the nonprofit sector. Originally from Lynchburg, Va., she now lives in Fort Washington, Md. When not spending time with friends and family, she enjoys gardening and traveling.

     

Jackie Thomas-Suggs
Vice President and Chief Development Officer

As vice president and chief development officer, Jackie is responsible for managing the Development department and for raising philanthropic revenue for the Foundation.

Previously, Jackie was the chief development officer for the NAACP national headquarters. She has more than 29 years of fundraising experience, primarily working for institutions of higher education, including Howard, Gallaudet, Fisk, Vanderbilt and James Madison universities. She has also served as executive director for the United Service Organizations (USO) for six years in Germany, Spain and Italy.

Jackie has been responsible for two successful capital campaigns that produced more than $300 million resulting in the enhancement of both the annual fund and endowment funds. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised went towards the building of two major libraries and three college buildings on university campuses.

She currently resides in Elkridge, Md. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys reading, working in her garden, collecting African art and traveling.
