American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy - DEADLINE EXTENSION

Points of Light Institute and the Corporation for National and Community Service are pleased to offer the American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy at the 2010 National Conference on Volunteering and Service. The Leadership Academy, developed and delivered by the Center for Creative Leadership, will offer a limited number of growing leaders in the volunteering and service sector an opportunity to participate in a feedback-intense learning experience which including hands-on activities to enhance leadership capacity. American Express will sponsor the participation of the Center for Creative Leadership to lead a Pre-Conference Leadership Development program that incorporates a Development Assessment, 360 review, one-on-one coaching and experiential training.

The program will be open to 12 participants with a goal of helping future nonprofit leaders become more effective. The program will be open to staff at middle level management who are recognized as top performers and high potential upcoming leaders. The scholarship covers costs to attend the Leadership Academy, dinner meal on day one and continental breakfast on day two. Scholarship recipients must pay all travel related costs for AMEX Nonprofit Leadership Academy. Travel related costs include meals, lodging, air travel, and ground transportation. A complete application and supporting documentation, if any, must be received on or before Monday, April 26, 2010. Applications received after the designated deadline date will not be considered. No exceptions.

The Selection Committee will determine the recipients of the award date of Monday, May 3, 2010. You will be notified via email by award date regarding the status of the scholarship. You will receive a notification email regardless if you were selected as a recipient or not.

Day Two: Monday, June 28, 2010 7:00am - 11:30pm (Continental breakfast provided)
