Girls Summit on Civic Engagement (SID 1735)

Young women ages 12 – 18 years old are invited to a fun and empowering event! Girls. Power. Change. will inspire and demonstrate the ways that millennial females can positively impact others.

Special guests will include Kim Martin of WE tv; Lauren Bush; L’Oreal Women of Worth Honorees; Dr. Jane Smith of Spelman College; and Mary McPhail of World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

The young women will have an opportunity to develop a “Changemaker Idea” of how they can effect change in their communities. The girls will vote on their favorite idea. Native Sound DJs will also spin tunes at the summit and keep the energy pumping!

Girls. Power. Change. is happening on Monday, June 28 at the Hilton New York (Room: Sutton North). The doors will open at 8:30 a.m.; the program will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.
