We at Points of Light Institute wanted to congratulate all our affiliates for their tremendous work this weekend mobilizing an impressive amount of volunteers to rally around the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.  You all coordinated and created meaningful opportunities for service in honor of 9/11 victims and survivors.

Boston Cares: Volunteers helped to assemble 1,000 care packages and helped with school revitalization- "This was the start of a legacy we are continuing today..."

New York Cares: Among other projects, volunteers created cards to be sent to Military Family Members through Blue Star Families.

Greater D.C. Cares: Had more than 12,000 volunteers join together to give back- packing winter kits for homeless veterans.

A well deserved "Thank you" to all our affiliates for all the hard work you put into this past weekend and for your support in unifying the Nation together in service. We also thank every individual who joined with us in service- every one of you is a Point of Light and you continue to inspire us.
