World Teachers' Day 2011
Since 1994 World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on October 5th. UNESCO and Education International team up to celebrate the teachers who inspire youth all over the world.
Our teachers have made a large impact on our lives. They offer support, encourage learning, and foster growth. They have the unique responsibility to make a difference in our youth and our community; they aren’t just teachers, they’re life mentors and coaches.
We have all been shaped and molded by our teachers over the years. Today, take some time out to thank or remember all the great teachers that helped you become who you are. Let’s acknowledge the hard work of all your teachers and appreciate their efforts.
What can you do today? Check out http://www.5oct.org/ for ways you can get involved today and show some teacher appreciation.
