In President Barack Obama's back to school speech, he told young people around the nation that, "America needs your passion, your ideas and your energy right at this moment....Nothing inspires me more than knowing that young people all across the country are already making their marks."

To inspire and mobilize kids of all ages to use their energy, ingenuity and compassion to "make their mark on the world" through hands-on service, generationOn, the youth service division of Points of Light, presents Make Your Mark Week, October 16-22.

Make Your Mark Week encourages young people to do small acts or service projects that together make a big impact on their lives, their communities and the world. The week focuses on issues that matter most to kids - animal welfare, the environment, homelessness, hunger and literacy - and culminates on Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of service.

Through Make Your Mark Week, we hope to reach millions of kids and parents and engage at least 100,000 kids in service. generationOn invites you to join in celebrating the power of youth service by promoting Make Your Mark Week and, in return, we'll promote your organization to Make Your Mark Week participants.
