Amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, more than 113,000 kids and adults pledged to give back to their communities as part of generationOn's Holiday Gift Campaign. These gifts of service, along with Hasbro's incredible generosity will help provide gifts to children who might otherwise face empty stockings this year.

The holiday season provides a unique opportunity to inspire kids to bring positive change to their communities. This year, the meaning and focus of the Holiday Gift Campaign is particularly special as we all face tighter budgets and more and more families are unable to celebrate the holidays in the way they would like.

In just 15 days, generationOn received 113,631 pledges of service - representing service projects in 48 states and on six continents. Hasbro has honored each and every pledge by generously donating 113,631 toys to Toys for Tots. For children in need, these toys mean more than playtime. The toys bring hope, joy and the knowledge that their communities care.

Kids and teens took advantage of generationOn's nine winter-themed projects and used their own creativity to find solutions to problems i

n their own communities. Below are a few of the amazing projects happening this season:

  • From a class in Michigan: Instead of giving gifts to fellow students and teachers this year, pooling their money to buy presents and school supplies for children at the Interfaith Shelter
  • From a generationOn Kids Care Club in New Hampshire: Making holiday cards and placemats for Meals on Wheels seniors, filling stockings for the Salvation Army and making baby gifts for new moms
  • From a Girl Sco ut troop in the Czech Republic: Collecting food for a local food bank and caroling to spread holiday cheer
  • From a group of young friends in Kentucky: Raising money for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association by collecting and recycling used electronics
  • From a HandsOn Action Center in Orlando: Mobilizing kids and adults to help the community prepare and serve a Christmas meal to homeless veterans in a recovery program
  • From a teen in Illinois: Volunteering at an animal shelter

GenerationOn is committed to mobilizing the energy, ingenuity and compassion of kids and teens, and help them discover their power and potential to make their mark on the world.
