Maybe you like Valentine’s Day, maybe you don’t. Regardless- here are certain acts of kindness/social good activities you can partake in your daily life to spread love to your community…

1. Plan ahead and mail fun Valentine’s Day cards to your friends, neighbors, or strangers (email ecards are second best). If you don’t like Valentine’s Day, just send a nice letter and become a pen pal.

2. Call a friend you haven’t talked to in ages. Reconnect.

3. Recognize someone who’s been a “point of light” in your life. Nominate them for a Daily Point of Light Award.

4. Be a visitor and reach out to the local animal shelter, children’s hospital, or nursing home.

5. Wash your car and go out of your way to wash your neighbor's.

6. Donate food or time to the local food bank.

7. Teach someone something new.

9. Make and send care packages to service men and women overseas.

10. Set up a carpool with your neighborhood families for afterschool activities.

11. Plant flowers instead of giving cut flowers.

12. Pay for the person's cup of coffee behind you in line.

13. Cook a meal for co-workers or friends, host a Sunday Supper.

14. Give up your seat on the bus or train to someone who looks like they need it more than you.

We don't doubt that by doing one of these things, you could be making someones day.
