Position Overview: The Senior Director will partner with companies of all sizes to help build and improve the companies’ employee volunteering programs. Responsibile for identifying opportunities and managing the delivery of fee-based training and consulting services to corporate partners. Account management, developing pricing models and sales strategy for varying levels of corporate projects, consulting and training opportunities.
Brief Review of Responsibilities:
Customized Consulting and Training Services
- Corporate and Business consulting – help build and improve the companies’ employee volunteering programs.
- Work closely with clients to assess training and consulting needs and deliver services and resources to address those needs.
- Support and/or lead the development of written proposals for corporate consulting projects.
- Cultivate and expand training and consulting with new and repeat clients.
Corporate Engagement Strategy Implementation
- Develop and implement a corporate engagement strategy including National Conference on Vol & Service, POL National Days of Service and misc. campaigns, appropriate corporate facing organizations and organization wide.
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments and research in the field of employee volunteer engagement.
Corporate Product Development
- Develop pricing model and sales strategy for varying levels of corporate projects, consulting and training opportunities.
- Works with other members of the Corporate Institute team to develop materials, research briefs and written FAQ documents that support our corporate members with sector best practices and overall corporate community leadership.
Management & Administration
- Provide for timely collection of receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks including travel preparations, gathering report data, and fulfilling client requests
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with corporate employee volunteer and engagement programs.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in fundraising or sales.
- Excellent understanding of the volunteer sector, including corporate volunteering
- Proven ability to multi-task and deliver quality results under tight deadlines
- Excellent human relations, teambuilding, and organization skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and third-party mediation skills
- Excellent customer service skills and a diplomatic style
- Excellent account management skills with the proven ability to develop and grow high-yield relationships.
- A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive revenue goals.
- Experience in or with non-profit and corporate cultures
- Moderate travel will be required.
