Summary of Duties: The Senior Director of Training & Consulting is responsible for the development and delivery of training, resources, consulting and technical assistance services designed to build and improve employee volunteering within businesses of all sizes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

General Services
•Corporate Service Council Support
-Direct oversight and management of the one of the Corporate Service Council Committees.
-Work in partnership with the Director, Corporate Service Council to ensure CSC strategic goals and deliverables are met.
-Participates on a cross functional team organized for the purpose of managing the Corporate Service Council.

•Corporate Engagement Strategy Implementation
-Develop and implement a corporate engagement strategy for POL and other relative initiatives, including National Conference on Vol & Service, POL National Days of Service and misc. campaigns, appropriate corporate facing organizations and organization wide.
-Develop systems for gleaning and sharing effective corporate practices with corporate partners at every level, with the broader corporate sector and the CSR/EVP field.
-Stay abreast to latest trends and EVP/CSR practices. Conduct ongoing needs assessments and research in the field of employee volunteer engagement.

Corporate Product Development
•Corporate Product Development and Content Generation – providing resources to the corporate section thus positioning POL as a thought leader in employee volunteering and employee engagement.
-Develops and delivers a menu of services, products and tools to support fee for service training and consulting projects.
-Develop pricing model and sales strategy for varying levels of corporate projects, consulting and training opportunities.
-Works with other members of the Corporate Institute team to develop materials, research briefs and written FAQ documents that support our corporate members with EVP management, sector best practices and overall corporate community leadership.

Customized Consulting and Training Services
•Corporate Consulting – ensuring the appropriate return on investment for corporate partners.
-Identify opportunities and manage the delivery of fee-based training and consulting services.
-Work closely with clients to assess training and consulting needs and deliver services and resources to address those needs.
-Support and/or lead the development of written proposals for corporate consulting projects.
-In collaboration with the broader Corporate Institute and Development team, cultivate and expand training and consulting with new and repeat clients.
-Account management. Manage client experience (collect survey, testimonials).
-Cultivates and expands existing training and consulting relationships through frequent communication.
-Works closely with companies to assess training and consulting needs and develops plans to address those needs.

Other Responsibilities
•Development and management of the Corporate Leadership Faculty.
•Marketing and promotion of Corporate Institute.
•General Corporate Institute support and leadership.
•Develops partnership with other experts in the field of employee volunteer engagement.
•Participate in appropriate professional and community organizations.

Management & Administration
•Provide for timely collection of receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices
•Perform a variety of administrative tasks including travel preparations, gathering report data, and fulfilling client requests

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
-A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated success in fundraising or sales.
-Excellent understanding of the volunteer sector, including corporate volunteering
-Proven ability to multi-task and deliver quality results under tight deadlines
-Excellent human relations, teambuilding, and organization skills
-Strong negotiation, communication, and third-party mediation skills
-Excellent customer service skills and a diplomatic style
-Excellent account management skills with the proven ability to develop and grow high-yield relationships.
-A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive revenue goals.
-Experience in or with non-profit and corporate cultures
-Moderate travel will be required.
