POSITION SUMMARY
MissionFish is seeking a bright and experienced financial strategist to join our management team as our Vice President, Finance and Accounting. The Vice President of Finance and Accounting is responsible for the organization's worldwide financial operations and will help shape and implement expansion initiatives through strategic planning, analysis and forecasting. The VP of Finance and Accounting has full responsibility for all aspects of financial management including accounting, internal and external reporting, worldwide consolidation of financial information, audits, monitoring of cash flow and all banking functions. The position reports to both the MissionFish Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer, Points of Light Institute.

MissionFish is seeking a bright and experienced financial strategist to join our management team as our Vice President, Finance and Accounting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
- Conceptualize, implement and manage systems and financial solutions that support an expanding product offering and global footprint
- Develop proper accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and ensure accurate and thorough documentation of each
- Provide guidance, supervision and review of finance and accounting team to ensure that job responsibilities are met and are in line with organizational goals and objectives
- Drive and support organization's budget and forecast processes to ensure projections are in line with desired results
- Prepare financial reports providing accurate analysis of organization's results
- Oversee month-end close process for each MissionFish Company, by performing accruals, variance analyses and tracking of financial metrics
- Oversee the worldwide consolidation of financial results and prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP/ISAB
- Work collaboratively with POLI Finance and Accounting staff to ensure timely integration of financial information for POLI monthly close, consolidation, year-end close, annual audit and other ad hoc requirements as requested
- Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory financial reports in the United States and foreign jurisdictions
- Serve as a key business partner and valuable resource to functional managers
- Work in conjunction with outside auditors to provide an annual audit
- Assist in negotiating contracts as needed
- Applied knowledge of GAAP/ISAB, applicable to non-profits
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, FRX, MS Excel and Word
- Experience with, and expertise in electronic commerce and banking
- Strong management, analytic and organizational skills
- Understanding of international currency management
- Ability to create and manage complex accounting and reporting systems
- Experience with negotiating and managing contracts
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and process optimization
- An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a demanding, fast-paced, cross-functional work environment
- Highly professional in dealings with clients and co-workers
- Ability to deal with unexpected and/or delicate situations calmly and with sound judgment
- An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- A demonstrated passion for social enterprise and for MissionFish's goal of producing a consistent source of unrestricted revenue for nonprofit organizations
- Minimum 5-7 years management experience in accounting/finance
- Consumer / retail internet and/or Big 5 experience a plus; understanding of nonprofit accounting preferred
- CPA required
- CMA and/or MBA preferred
- Experience overseeing Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting and other transactional accounting functions
