It’s not too early to register your project for 2014 MLK Day! If your organization is hosting volunteer opportunities related to 2014 MLK Day that you would like to be included in the search results for our site and our partner sites such as www.MLKDay.gov, please follow the instructions below:
1. Our search engine aggregates volunteer opportunities automatically from a wide range of other sites so if you have already posted your volunteer opportunities online, there is a good chance they are already in our system. To see if they are already in our search engine, please try searching for them on www.allforgood.org. If you find your volunteer opportunity on www.allforgood.org then no further action is required.
2. If you do not see your volunteer opportunity in the All for Good feed then we encourage you to contact your local HandsOn Network affiliate, who can assist you with managing your volunteer opportunities and projects.
3. If there is not a HandsOn Network affiliate is in your area or if you wish to manage your own projects then you can post your volunteer opportunities directly into our search engine, All for Good, via our simple Google Docs spreadsheet based system. Please fill out the form to begin the process.
Within 12 hours, you will be sent a link to an online spreadsheet in which to load your opportunities. Your online spreadsheet’s opportunities will be automatically uploaded to our search engine every six hours. Lastly, do make sure your opportunities show up properly in the search results, please make sure to enter start and end dates for your opportunities and to include the keywords, MLK Day, in your opportunity titles and descriptions.
