CORPORATE VOLUNTEER COUNCIL

Corporate Volunteer Councils (CVCs) are local networks that businesses join to share effective practices and address community needs through workplace volunteering. Today's companies are increasingly seeking ways to work together with employees and retirees to help solve serious social problems in their communities. CVCs respond to these needs by providing valuable resources to help strengthen a business' community investment strategy.

Corporate Volunteer Councils are usually affiliated with local community-based agencies such as Volunteer Centers or United Way agencies. Some Councils have also incorporated as independent nonprofits.
