Connect America Partner of the Year Award
2006 AWARD GUIDELINES
Eligibility
All Connect America National Partners in good standing (paid Points of Light
and Connect America dues) and who have not preciously received this award are
eligible for the Award.
Nomination Process
By using the enclosed form, Connect America National Partners can nominate themselves
or another Partner organization. The Awards nomination form must be completed
and returned to the Foundation by e-mail, mail or fax no later than Monday, May
1, 2006.
Award Criteria
The Award Selection Team will review and evaluate entries according to the following
criteria:
- Commitment to Connect America through the assignment of a senior staff
as a Connect America liaison
- Exhibiting the “connect” spirit through collaborative
activities and partnerships with other Connect America Partners – either
short term or ongoing partnerships
- Communication about Connect America
and national partnership to internal audiences – both at the chapter/affiliate
levels and with colleagues in the national office
- Collecting and reporting
information that affirms the value of volunteering and partnerships
to effectively address community problems
- Developing creative and
people-powered solutions to significant social problems
- Helping
communities respond to calls-to-action
- Lessons learned from
effective partnerships that can be share
Award Judging
The Awards Selection team will be convened by the Foundation
to evaluate and judge the nominations.
