Wendy Rhein joined Points of Light in November 2016 as special ad isor to the CEO and now serves as the chief strategy and engagement officer, managing strategy, organizational development, influencer engagement, events, the annual conference, and generationOn, the youth and family division of Points of Light. Wendy comes to this work with more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in fundraising, communications, organizational development and campaigns. Prior to Points of Light, Wendy was chief advancement officer for the Legal Services Corporation, creating its first private fundraising division. She also created a development and marketing and communications program for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network. Earlier in her career, Wendy spent several years with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, creating and managing campaigns for HIV/AIDS, girls’ education, and maternal neonatal tetanus.
Wendy is a skillful manager who thrives on problem solving and putting people and programs together for the greatest impact. She holds a bachelor’s degree in women's studies from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in international affairs and human rights from Columbia University.
