Rachel Humphries

Rachel Humphries, of Charlotte North Carolina, founded Refugee Support Services of the Carolinas, Inc. to pick up where refugee resettlement agencies leave off in the efforts to help newcomers to the United States become productive, self-sufficient residents and, ultimately American citizens. After the resettlement agencies, bring refugees to the country and help them find housing, employment, education, and basic health care, they are often lost and alone. Refugee Support Services gives them support they need to live day-to-day in the U.S.
