Honor a Military Caregiver as a Daily Point of Light

There are close to 5.5 million military caregivers in the United States, hidden heroes serving in a role that receives little recognition and acknowledgement. In advance of 9/11 Day, we invite our partners to nominate outstanding military caregivers for a Daily Point of Light Award.

Who is Eligible?

- Award nominees must be legal U.S. residents.

- All volunteer activities of the nominee must be unpaid and cannot include court-ordered community service. Nominees who receive a nominal stipend for their service or receive paid time off to volunteer are eligible.

- Volunteer service must last for six uninterrupted months and still be ongoing (except disaster relief work).
