The 32nd annual National Volunteer Week will be celebrated April 17 through 23. Sponsored by the Points of light Foundation, National Volunteer Week is a time to honor volunteers at the local, state and national levels. We are proud to announce that the 2005 theme and logo will remain, "Inspire By Example" because it truly reflects the power volunteers have to inspire the people they help, as well as, to inspire others to serve!
Why the change?
Our goal is to establish National Volunteer Week as "the" time to honor America's unsung heroes. We believe that a consistent look and messaging will help to increase opportunities for partnership (nationally and locally), and increase the involvement of the general public. We spotlight our peer organizations that conduct national days of service and have enjoyed branding and partnership success as a result of using a consistent theme and logo:
The Corporation for National and Community Service - MLK Day
"Make It A Day On, Not a Day Off"
Youth Service America - National Youth Service Day
"The Power of Youth Serving Youth"
America's Fraternal Benefit Societies - JOIN HANDS DAY
Youth and Adults Volunteering Together
One Day's Pay Foundation - One Day's Pay
To honor the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on America through a voluntarily observed national day of service, charity and compassion
USA Weekend - Make A Difference Day
A national day to help others!
What's in it for you?
As stated above, by keeping the logo and theme consistent it allows you more time to plan NVW promotion and events, saves you money on recognition items, and enables Foundation staff to focus on providing you with more timely, innovative and cost-effective promotional products.
