VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT TRAINING SERIES

The Volunteer Management Training Series is a set of six courses in basic volunteer management that is offered by more than 100 Volunteer Centers across the U.S.

Course 2: Planning a Volunteer Program

  • Developing volunteer recruitment strategies and messages
  • Accessing underutilized volunteers

Course 5: Supervising Volunteers

  • Defining and communicating expectations
  • Supervising and recognizing people with different motivations

Course 6: Evaluating Your Volunteer Program

  • Assessing volunteer satisfaction, management process, and community impact
  • Using evaluation information
