ADVANCED BUSINESS SEMINAR
Measuring Program Outcomes for Your Employee Volunteer Program

Program measurement is essential to understanding the value of an employee volunteer program to the employees, the company, and the community. This advanced seminar explores the rationale and methods for measuring program outcomes.

This course includes:

  • measure outcomes for established programs
  • build concrete data to demonstrate value
  • enhance and better manage efforts with specific programmatic information

This seminar is intended for experienced employee volunteer program managers and their supervisors. Participants should have job responsibility for managing an EVP in a business setting. Not open to independent consultants. Pre-requisites: Introductory Business Seminar, and/or 2 or more years experience in managing an EVP.

About the Trainers
Chris Toppe, Ph.D., is Senior Social Scientist in the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation at the Points of Light Foundation. He has considerable professional experience in conducting original research and in the analysis of survey data. As a social scientist, Chris designs, conducts, analyzes, interprets, and writes research studies. While at Independent Sector, he managed their studies on giving and volunteering. He currently teaches in the graduate school of Georgetown University.


Bea Boccalandro is a researcher, evaluator and trainer who specializes in helping companies reach excellence in corporate-community involvement. She has done work for businesses, non-profit organizations and corporate-community involvement groups. She has published research results for the U.S. Department of Labor, and teaches evaluation and corporate-community involvement at Georgetown University.
