As the President and Founder of LostNMissing, Inc., Cynthia Caron volunteers 12 hours each day to guide families of missing people as soon as their loved one goes missing. She seamlessly handles all the media, marketing and posting of information. Cynthia works directly with law enforcement, acting as a representative for the families. She also notifies the public of the missing person through the community by social networking. By stepping in and handling the media relations, this allows the families to focus on recovering their loved ones.

Pauline Abeyta offers clothes to the homeless along with a healthy dose of compassion through the organization The Clothing Room.  As a dedicated volunteer at The Clothing Room, Pauline has proved that community outreach is invalid without compassion and dedication. Every week, Pauline assists needy families and the homeless in finding clothes to wear.  Whether it’s for an interview or just something to wear for the day, Pauline understands the importance providing clothes and emotional support to the needy.

Jeanette coordinates and operates weekly off-site adoption events at a local Arkansas Petsmart store. About 50 Sundays a year, she drives to the shelter, loads animals and equipment, drives to the Petsmart store and set up an adoption display with the animals. She provides advice, counseling and information for every potential adopter. Rarely does a week go by that at least one pet is not adopted t the off-site location. When she is not helping the shelter, Jeanette is active in animal rescue with her own group, Animals R Us, which provides foster care and adoption for homeless pets.

Elle has been volunteering with special needs kids for eight years and she’s only 16. Over her years as a volunteer, she has coached basketball and bowling among other positions. Elle recognized a need—the special needs basketball team her brother was coaching didn’t have a cheerleading squad.  Elle is currently serving as the cheerleading coach for a special needs squad that goes to the Special Olympics every winter. And at 16, she runs the program singlehandedly.

When many can barely make time for themselves, Corey Castillo, has found time to do something special for others. Already a busy kid, somewhere between marching band, basketball, track, science club, and numerous other activities, Corey Castillo helps the elderly, veterans, and even his peers in his community. One such way was cleaning up a local cemetary. Years of neglect and three major hurricanes had left the Edgerly Cemetary in disarray.

Priya Sathaye volunteers with the Sunday Friends Program and has been serving with them since August of 2006. Sunday Friendsis a nonprofit organization tht runs programs for low-income families in San Jose, California. She taught piano lessons to children, led art projects and played a key role in the program's "shopping" operations. Priya was quickly recognized as a star volunteer with leadership qualities, so she was invited to serve on the Sunday Friends Volunteer Leader Team.

Scott Vancuzer is an outstanding friend, father and humantarian. None of these titles complare to the selfless commitment to the communmity Scott shares everyday. he is a great part of the Fort Pierce community in many ways. Scott is a leade with a huge heart. Just in the past year, he has set up a scholarship fund for local youth involved in community service. he has also helped to raise money for two families in the past four months. One of the family members had been diagnozed with cancer and lost his leg.

Laura Wysocki broke her elbow playing soccer and noticed an ad in the paper for volunteers. The program assigns Special Needs students with a "buddy" for one-on-one instruction in the rules of the game of soccer and the spirit of teamwork. Being a buddy to little Gordon is an eye opener for Laura. Born with Down Syndrome and a weak heart, Gordon has undergone two heart surgeries. Gordon does not know anything about soccer, is reluctant to play, and is notorious for running of the field every opportunity he can. After several weeks of cajoling, Gordon attempts to dribble the ball!

Jody Fazzano is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's degree in social work, as well as being qualified to counsel people with substance abuse issues. In addition, Jody formerly was a news producer for the local ABC affiliate, channel 6 in Providence, RI. Jody has continued her work in the social/clinical area as an independent case worker. To say that she maintains a busy schedule would be an extreme understatement.

Joan is a relentless animal rescuer, and spends quite a lot of time assisting in the rescue, care, and placement of homeless dogs and cats, using her own resources. When you can’t find anyone else to help, Joan tries to be there. She assisted recently with the transport of a dog listed on “Dogs in Danger” to a safe haven in another state. She offered to pay the veterinary expenses for a disabled man’s cat, and has taken an elderly Shar Pei into foster care in her own home after the dog’s story was emailed to her.
