Aarti Madhusudan

Affiliate Assembly Liaison, Data & Research Subcommittee Principal Consultant, iVolunteer (India)

Aarti is principal consultant at iVolunteer, India’s oldest volunteering platform. She earned a master’s degree in social work and an MPhil degree in psychiatric social work from India’s premier institute. She is passionate about volunteering and spends time each year in remote parts of India giving time to nonprofits with friends to help build organizational capacity. She is also the founder of Governance Counts, an initiative that strengthens nonprofit boards. She is the co-founder of the first-ever 100 Women on Boards program, that this year will have trained 100 corporate professionals to become “board ready.”

Aarti has recently been invited to Medicine Sans frontiers Global Training pool for governance. She hates cooking, loves the hills, a clear blue sky and sunshine, and believes in ghosts between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. She also thinks that if you can laugh easily, challenges find a way of disappearing faster.
