The Vice President may be specifically assigned to work with one or more of POL’s business leaders and serve as the development subject matter expert for these “Products”. Points of Light is looking for a Vice President, Corporate Partnerships – a strategic and innovative individual to lead the development of relationships and financial support from a portfolio of external facing corporate prospects – enabling these divisions to meet program and revenue goals, while also supporting the organization’s broader fundraising goals. They will be assigned to a Product portfolio, becoming a subject matter expert for the Corporate Partnerships team, with a focus currently on supporting the Programs Division which may include some or all of the following Products - education, veterans (co-lead), recognition, and training and consulting. Business unit leaders and the Corporate Partnerships team share revenue responsibility for the assigned portfolio of Products. The Vice President’s Product portfolio may be modified from time-to-time. This is a leadership position based in Atlanta. The position is critical to Points of Light’s mission to ignite a new spirit of service and civic engagement across the world.

The Community Emergency Preparedness Corps (CEPC), an AmeriCorps National program implemented by Points of Light, creates disaster resilient communities by increasing preparedness of individuals and families through volunteer engagement. A total of 24 CEP Corps members in host sites across the country will serve 10-month terms beginning in October 2014.

The Military Initiatives eLearning and Outreach Specialist will build Community Blueprint Network (CBN) tools and connections and make them available to military and veterans support organizations and nonprofit civilian organizations who serve and mobilize veterans, military service members and their families in poverty or at risk of poverty. Specific duties include developing e-learning series (1) on volunteer management basics for volunteer service leaders of military and veteran organizations and (2) on veteran and military topics for community leaders serving the veteran/military population. Additionally they will assist CBN partners and communities in organizing and delivering service projects for veterans, service members and, their families with the involvement of general community members. The assignments require strong communication skills (written and verbal), initiative, task order skills and a commitment to veterans.

Each Military Initiatives Subject Matter Specialist will build Community Blueprint Network (CBN) tools and connections and make them available to military and veterans support organizations and nonprofit civilian organizations who serve and mobilize veterans, military service members and their families in poverty or at risk of poverty. Specific duties include refreshing existing tools and resources and developing new tools and resources, contributing to an e-learning series for community volunteers, and assisting communities in using the Community Blueprint’s tools and resources. Each VISTA Member will be assigned one of four pairs of the Community Blueprint’s impact areas: 1) behavioral health, housing; 2) education, family strength; 3) employment, financial assistance and legal assistance; or 4) reintegration, volunteerism. The assignments require strong communication skills (written and oral), initiative, task order skills and a commitment to veterans.

The ServiceWorks Program Coordinator provides general support to the ServiceWorks Vice President and serves as project manager for special projects. The Coordinator provides limited administrative support for the ServiceWorks team, including monitoring VISTA timesheets and collecting/maintaining necessary paperwork from VISTAs. The Coordinator will manage the ServiceWorks calendar, ensure consistent documentation of ServiceWorks processes and practices, and serve as a project coordinator on special projects assigned by the Vice President. The Coordinator will also identify and develop tools and resources to support ServiceWorks programming.

Civic Accelerator Pipeline Development Associate
We are seeking a team of part-time “Pipeline Development Associates” to aid in the recruitment and selection process for our next program which will launch in October 2014. The Associate will work independently and collaboratively with the Civic Accelerator team to develop a pipeline of qualified entrepreneur applicants and local partners, encourage strong applicants to apply, and assist in the cohort selection process. A successful Associate will become the “Civic Accelerator go-to person” for their specific region, as well as the “eyes and ears” on the ground for the Civic Accelerator Leadership Team.

An additional 80,000 AmeriCorps members serve each year, which means our alumni community is nearly 1 million strong. Though we are a vibrant and growing alumni community, we have never launched a systemic individual giving campaign. This year, the 20th anniversary of AmeriCorps, is a pivotal moment to engage our alumni community in opportunities to give.
