Conference on Volunteering and Service

Oct. 19-21, 2015

The 2015 Conference on Volunteering and Service will be held Oct. 19-21 in Houston, where the spirit of volunteerism and civic engagement are deeply rooted. Alive with energy and rich in diversity, Houston is a dynamic mix of imagination, talent and first-class attractions that makes it a world-class city.

The conference will mark the 25th anniversary of Points of Light, now the largest organization in the world dedicated to volunteer service. Check out your invitation from Points of Light chair Neil Bush, who names the top five reasons to come to the conference, in this short video.

One activity we're excited about: Read Across the Globe, an initiative that brings the power of volunteers together to impact literacy in communities. One of our goals is to set a new Guinness World Record for the most children read to by an adult in 24 hours.

See what it's like to come to the conference in this recap of events from last year's conference in Atlanta, here.

Join us as we work together to help 21st century volunteers use all their assets – time, talent, voice and money – to build strong, vibrant communities around the world. Join us as we celebrate and shape the future of volunteerism!
