ServiceWorks MLK Day Bootcamps

Celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service by participating in a daylong ServiceWorks Skill Building Bootcamp.

ServiceWorks – a joint partnership between AmeriCorps, the Citi Foundation’s Pathways to Progress and Points of Light – is a groundbreaking, national program that uses volunteer service as a strategy to help 25,000 underserved youth and young adults develop the skills they need to prepare for greater college and career success.

With help from volunteers like you, the MLK Day bootcamps will give 16- to 24-year-olds valuable exposure to critical workforce skills, such as effective communication, resume building, project management and networking.

Young participants will put the skills they learned to work at the end of the day with a service project benefitting the local community.

If you’d like to lend your expertise to teach at one of these bootcamps, search AllforGood.org by using the keyword “ServiceWorks.” You can also click here for select cities.

Or, consider hosting your own bootcamp. Check out this toolkit and follow #MLKSW2016 on Twitter to learn more.
