WABE– January 9, 2012- Dr. Eboo Patel, founder and president of the Interfaith Youth Core and a scheduled speaker at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service, was interviewed this morning on WABE. He talked extensively about the power of service – especially among young people – to bridge cultural and religious divides and facilitate change. He specifically called out HandsOn Network and Michelle Nunn as a leader in providing service opportunities that celebrate Dr. King’s vision – “everyone can be great because everyone can serve.” He also highlighted MLK Day as an important moment in time to focus on service and the ways people can come together to build a stronger, more interconnected society.
