Points of Light is working closely with our HandsOn Network affiliates and partner agencies to coordinate the volunteer response in the communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy to ensure a coordinated response. More than 15,000 volunteers have been engaged to date through our affiliates.
Ways to engage now:
- Register your interest to volunteer. By registering with our affiliates, you will receive up-to-date information, including when new volunteer opportunities are posted
- Donate in-kind supplies and materials
- Organize a coat drive and donate to the New York Cares Coat Drive
- Donate to local relief efforts
- Host a local fundraiser and donate the proceeds
