Lt. Governor’s Office, June 6, 2011- Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne is announcing that Volunteer Louisiana is granting $1.98 million in AmeriCorps grants from the Corporation for National and Community Service to four Louisiana organizations. The grants will support 221 AmeriCorps members who will meet vital needs throughout the state. The selected organizations are City Year Louisiana, Presbytery of South Louisiana, St. Bernard Project and Teach for America. These organizations were selected in a highly competitive national process.
