The Points of Light Tribute Awards spotlights individuals and organizations who best exemplify the American ideal of service and voluntary action. Celebrities, dignitaries, business executives, supporters and civic leaders come together annually to salute honorees whose extraordinary contributions to volunteering and service have made their communities and the world better. Guests enjoy a celebratory and inspirational evening that brings people together in an extraordinary setting with music, special guests and moments that will inspire and lift up the unifying spirit of service and the power of people to change lives.
2012 Points of Light Tribute Awards
Building on the extraordinary momentum created by March 2011's NBC-televised Tribute honoring President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush at the Kennedy Center, the 2012 Points of Light Tribute Awards launched an annual celebration that will pay homage to one of the President’s greatest legacies, Points of Light, and his belief that “any definition of a successful life must include serving others.”

Auction
The Points of Light Tribute Awards will feature a live auction for our 350 guests and an online auction of exclusive experiences for guests and the entire Points of Light community. The online auction will open for bidding in mid-September and will be open to the public. More information about the auction will be posted here closer to the event.
