Radical Mission

Daily Point of Light # 5378 Dec 25, 2014

Organized by Radical Mission, the Warm Souls Christmas Celebration has been a major community event in Clarksville, Tenn. for nearly a decade. Warm Souls is presented on Christmas Eve by some 250 volunteers who help feed, clothe, and groom about 1,000 people in need.

Central to the event are free food, clothes, entertainment, haircuts and family photos, all handled by volunteers. How much goes into this production? While the main event takes place on Christmas Eve, Radical Mission volunteers are at work all throughout the year to handle everything from constructing equipment storage sheds to raising funds to cover hosting expenses.

The City of Clarksville provides free bus service to the event. In the season of giving, Warm Souls demonstrates the very best of community, bringing together volunteers through fellowship to make a difference in the lives of others.
