Juliana Vanni, a senior at Christopher High School in Gilroy, Calif., founded Cooper’s Closet, a free clothing store housed within her high school that provides clothes, prom dresses, belts and shoes for her fellow students.
Juliana rallied more than 40 students and members of the Gilroy community to help her paint the room, sort the clothes and set up the store. The store’s slogan, “free and fun for everyone,” has created a welcoming and comfortable environment for students to shop for gently used clothing they might need.
To keep the store running after she graduates, she has trained junio, Phuong Cao to continue the service. Her entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to others and passion for service is what makes Juliana a Daily Point of Light.
