Thomas Douglas

Daily Point of Light # 5941 Feb 21, 2017

Thomas “Hill” Douglas is part of a group that assembles 1,000 lunches for children and 300 bags of produce for families on a weekly basis. The meals are delivered to food-insecure neighborhoods on Sundays year-round. Thomas brings along classmates and makes volunteering the thing to do on Saturdays and other days. Even though he is young, he is able quietly to help volunteers of all ages, races and faiths prepare the food, and do it with a smile. In his pleasant, quiet manner, he is able to direct those much older than himself and to answer questions about the needs of the families being served. Thomas sees what tasks need to be done without being asked, and never hesitates to accomplish them.
