In honor of Veteran's Day, November 11, 2011, Points of Light will feature stories of veterans, service members and their families recognized as Daily Point of Light honorees this week.
Today's blog post is written by Saxon Seay, Manager of Marketing at Points of Light. One of the responsibilities Saxon enjoys most about her work is coordinating the Daily Point of Light Award, a recognition program founded by the administration of President George H. W. Bush that continues to award one volunteer or volunteer effort each week day.
