Hands On London, a registered charity with the UK Charity Commission and was founded in 2010. Hands on London strives to be the first point of contact for individuals in London who want to be involved in community service. Using an international model of volunteerism, Hands On London acts as an enabler and facilitator between volunteers and charity/community groups. HandsOn London's mission is to help charities, not-for-profits, and community organizations meet their volunteer needs, enhance their services and through flexible volunteering be able to add real value to their services.
To accomplish their mission, HandsOn London partners with local charities and other community groups to help them develop their volunteering need and create opportunities adding impact to their core work. Together with their partners HandsOn London organizes a range of volunteer projects including activities with children, assisting in soup kitchens, helping to improve the environment, helping the elderly and people with disabilities and our annual Wrap Up London coat drive.
The majority of HandsOn London's projects involve some type of direct interaction between the volunteers and the beneficiaries of a charity, whether it be socializing, playing games, or learning a new skill. No matter what type of activity, their aim is to make a positive impact on the charities they work with, their beneficiaries and volunteers.
